There’s a reason St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is recognized as a great place to work. Because at our world-class pediatric research hospital, every one of our professionals shares our commitment to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve. There’s a unique bond when you’re part of a team that gives their all to advance the treatments and cures of pediatric catastrophic diseases. The result is a collaborative, positive environment where everyone, regardless of their role, receives the resources, support and encouragement to advance and grow their careers and be the force behind the cures.
The Department of Psychology & Biobehavioral Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking outstanding candidates for postdoctoral fellowship positions in pediatric psychology. The postdoctoral fellowship program is designed to enhance the skills of psychology trainees preparing for a career in a pediatric academic medical setting. As a fellow, you will benefit from an individualized training team, access to world renowned interdisciplinary mentors, a top-ranked scientific environment, exceptional educational resources for professional growth, and superb benefits and professional development.
Postdoctoral fellows are trained within a clinician scientist model and are provided with supervision in both the provision of clinical care and research. Additionally, a consultation-liaison approach allows the fellow to collaborate with a variety of pediatric subspecialties and medical treatment teams. Two-year postdoctoral fellowships incorporating both clinical and research activities are offered. Strong candidates for a clinical-only training program may be considered.
St. Jude offers highly competitive stipends (currently 24% above NIH levels), health benefits (i.e., medical, prescription, dental, vision), and a professional development allowance.
Eligibility
Successful applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (APA- or CPA-accredited preferred) and completed a doctoral internship meeting APPIC standards (APA- or CPA-accredited preferred).
Fellows receive a professional development allowance, research allowance, a personal computer for use during the fellowship, tuition assistance, dependent care assistance, moving allowance, an employer-contributed retirement savings plan, an onsite health and fitness facility, flexible health and dependent care savings accounts, medical, dental and vision insurance (cost shared), and disability, long term disability, and group life insurance. Memphis offers a relaxed, affordable lifestyle with excellent cultural and recreational amenities.
