The Mack Laboratory at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join a multidisciplinary team focused on understanding and treating pediatric brain tumors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of tumor modeling, computational biology, advanced imaging technologies, and therapeutic development.

Our research program integrates innovative experimental and computational approaches to uncover the molecular mechanisms that drive aggressive pediatric brain cancers and translate these discoveries into novel therapeutic strategies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading scientists, clinicians, and data scientists in a highly interactive and supportive research environment.

Research Areas

The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to projects involving:

  • Development and application of sophisticated tumor models
  • Functional genomics and gene regulatory biology
  • Computational and systems biology approaches
  • Advanced imaging and spatial analysis technologies
  • Cancer biophysics
  • Discovery and evaluation of novel therapeutic strategies
  • Integration of multi-omic and translational datasets

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree and demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Cellular biology
  • Molecular biology
  • Cancer biology
  • Functional genomics
  • In vivo modeling
  • Advanced microscopic imaging
  • Neurobiology or developmental biology

Experience with animal models, genome engineering, advanced molecular techniques, or computational analysis is highly desirable. Successful candidates should possess strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for innovative translational cancer research.
