The ideal candidate will have experience both conducting and scoring standardized, norm-referenced, individually administered, performance-based assessments (e.g., Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, 5th ed; Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, 3rd ed; Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System; etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is detail oriented, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and has previous experience conducting psychological assessments with youth with complex medical histories.
School psychologists, individuals licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner or a Psychological Examiner by the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology, and Certified Psychological Assistants with relevant experience, or those eligible for such certification by the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology, are encouraged to apply.
As one of our clinicians, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to both the clinical care of individual patients and to ongoing research focused on the developmental, psychological, and neurocognitive functioning of patients treated at St. Jude. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of attending psychologists, the selected candidate will,
Conduct both comprehensive and abbreviated developmental and neurocognitive assessments and related services with patients in the Psychology Clinic – assessments are completed in the context of research protocols as well as to address clinical needs.
Work with attending psychologists to conduct psychological assessments.
Summarize assessment findings, contribute to written feedback of performance to patients and families.
Collaborate regularly with clinic and research personnel, communicate with medical teams, and consult with the teachers and school liaisons from the St. Jude School Program.
Provide scientific and administrative support to the attending psychologists
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master's Degree in Psychology or Education from a regionally accredited institution
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Psychological Assoicate II
One year of experience in an applied setting following attainment of Master's degree
Experience with Psychological assessment measures commonly used in children, adolescents, and young adults is required. Training or experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
Senior Psychological Associate
3+ years of experience in an applied setting.
Experience with psychological assessment measures commonly used in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Prior training or experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
Proven performance in earlier role
LICENSURE and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Psychological Assoicate II
(LC:PSYEX-TN) Licensed Psychological Examiner OR (LC:PSY-ASST) Certified Psychological Assistant by the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology must be obtained within (1) year from start date.
Senior Psychological Associate
(LC:PSY-ASST) Certified Psychological Assistant, Psychological Examiner, Senior Psychological Examiner, or Psychologist, by the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology required.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Psychological Associate II OR Sr Psychological Associate.Explore our exceptional benefits!
