The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.

Overview


The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.


Responsibilities


The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the operations of the North American Consortium for Histiocytosis (NACHO).  This team member will support the NACHO Senior Program Manager, other members NACHO Operations, and other collaborators and thus must be able to communicate clearly and foster trusting relationships.  This role is a part of a cross-functional program team that supports the operations of NACHO. The Program Coordinator would assist in grant management, workshop/conference planning, communications with internal and external collaborators, tracking agreements, and cooperating on research projects and development. The ideal candidate would be eager to help grow the consortium and its efforts to have a larger impact on children with these conditions.


The Program Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Applying project management principles to various projects in development in NACHO

  • Develop communications regarding NACHO to external collaborators

  • Develop and track metrics, provide complex data analysis & interpretation and develop program related reports.

  • Make recommendations for program or process improvements by providing inputs for systemic changes to program or project management processes for better planning, scope management, and risk prevention.

  • Assist in searching for funding and grant management for NACHO projects

  • Support the design and implementation of policies, process and procedures. Develop process for execution of program initiatives.

  • Engage with program management teams internally and externally for coordination.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to look at data more critically and draw meaningful conclusions. Conducts root-cause analysis as needed.

  • Effectively relays understanding of diverse perspectives.

  • Presents information in a clear, well thought out way and tailored to the audience

  • Organizes information with the clear ability to make it accessible and understandable for a larger team.

  • Works with others to find the best solutions that align with functional priorities.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of more advanced data management tools, systems and processes.

  • Exhibits strong critical thinking to identify trends and draw out insights; works with a high level of independence.

  • Has working knowledge of project management and planning tools.

  • Has experience in clinical trials research, preferably in rare diseases or pediatrics.

  • Ability to organize and support virtual and in-person events and disease-related workshops.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.


Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in program management and delivery.

  • Clinical research experience preferred

  • Significant experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office).

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator, NACHO.
