Overview
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Program Coordinator with a strong background in clinical research to join the St. Jude Global (SJG) Culture and Communication Transversal Program team. This key team member will coordinate research efforts focused on global patient-centered care, including hospital and community-based research and initiatives targeted at improving health communication, quality of care, and outcomes for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases worldwide. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to help grow these programs in support of the St. Jude Global Strategic vision, have a demonstrated interest in global health, have a clinical and/or qualitative/mixed methods research background, and have project coordination experience.

Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
Staying up to date on current trends in social science research methodology (including but not limited to medical anthropology, sociology, psychology) and potential implications in the current and future project portfolio
Helping develop programs aimed at advocating for patients, and patient families, going through their treatment experience in the biomedical space
Facilitating coordination of research projects with global collaborators, including forging new relationships with multidisciplinary health professionals as well as diverse members of global communities.
Developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of project deliverables.
Designing compelling reports, research/policy briefs and messaging specifically tailored for needs in partnership with diverse research collaborators
Assisting with preparation and tracking of grants, mixed methods research manuscript submissions, and presentations, including tracking.
May mentor less experienced team members.

Understands the overall program goals & collaborator needs, coordinates with cross functional teams and tracks dependencies & risks
Prior experience working with PowerBI and Smartsheet is a plus.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in public health, anthropology, health communication, business or related field required
Master's degree in public health, anthropology, health communication, business or related field preferred
Minimum Experience:
3 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in health related and/or resource-limited (low- and middle-income country) settings.
Clinical background and research experience are highly preferred
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook Calendar tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office) preferred.
Fluency in a second language preferred.
Team coordination and/or project management experience preferred
Preference for candidates with data analysis experience (mixed methods/qual), but not required.
Any manuscript experience is preferred. (contributed or published)
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator - Culture and Communication Program.Explore our exceptional benefits!
