The Peri-Anesthesia Prescreening Nurse works in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to provide information necessary for decision support for patients who may receive anesthesia throughout their continuum of care at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nursing Surgical Services Prescreening is a Full-Time Remote Position. Candidates will need to live in TN, MS, or AR. Orientation and training will be completed in person. The hours will be four-10 hour shifts 0700-1730.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN required. BSN preferred
Minimum Experience:
- NSS: Two (2) years of nursing experience required; 1 year of Pre/Post anesthesia care experience preferred
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:
- (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state
- (LC: RN-ARK or RN-MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nursing Licensure Compact state
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
- Specialty certification in peri-anesthesia care preferred
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be able to navigate the electronic medical record and have basic Excel and Microsoft Word skills. Ability to communicate with and interview/educate effectively with people over the telephone.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Peri-Anesthesia Prescreening Nurse (Nursing Surgical Services).Explore our exceptional benefits!
