Overview
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
Responsibilities
Lead development, implementation, and operations of forecasting, budgeting, and decision support systems by working closely with relevant teams.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in accordance with St. Jude's regulatory requirements.
Engage with key stakeholders within the department and across the institution to drive collaboration and alignment on key issues.
Manage monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes including the preparation and presentation of results to leadership.
Periodic travel nationally & internationally as required (10%)
Create, enhance and maintain financial models related to forecasting and planning.
Provide internal control procedures and foster a culture of compliance oversight for department, primarily within own area(s) of responsibility.
Manage direct reports through goal setting, performance management, development, and engagement.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates competency in analyzing financial statements and communicating insights.
Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial risk management; assists in the control of expenditures.
Provides value-added insights about business, resource allocation and revenue insights.
Utilizes models to design and perform ad hoc analyses on profitability trends, risks, and opportunities.
Able to deliver results through others by setting stretch goals and holding them accountable.
Coaches team members with concrete feedback and improvement ideas, including addressing employee relations concerns.
Explores opportunities for development of direct reports that makes their work enriching, empowers them, and stretches their growth in lateral areas.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field of study required.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum Requirement: 6+ years of experience in healthcare finance and accounting involving development of budgets and cost accounting systems.
Experience in an academic setting or with research activities preferred.
CPA is a plus
Some experience presenting in team meetings and/or to senior management.
Experience leading and influencing projects/processes end to end including collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred.
Proven performance in earlier role.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $94,640 - $169,520 per year for the role of Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, Global Finance Unit.Explore our exceptional benefits!
