Job Title: Associate Epidemiologist - Data Wrangler
Job Duties:
Collect and analyze significant amounts of data that can be used to discover better treatments and cures for catastrophic childhood illnesses. Provide knowledge in statistical and/or epidemiological analysis to institutional researchers conducting basic, translational, clinical and/or population science studies as designated by collaboration areas. Perform data QA/QC, data management, programming for data preparation, and statistical and/or epidemiological analyses using standard statistical packages. Perform standard statistical and/or epidemiological analysis and prepare analysis reports including graphical and table presentations, descriptions of methods used, interpretation of findings, and making valid inferences. Working with source control systems (e.g., Epic or Workday). Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. Rate of Pay: $100,256 - $139,360 per year. Work Location: Memphis, TN. Telecommuting permissible, must live within commuting distance.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology or related field required.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in Healthcare and/or Medical Industry or related experience required. Experience must include the following: (1) Designing databases and ETL processes; (2) designing and maintaining data management systems, data warehouses, and data source analysis with the healthcare field; (3) using statistical software package (e.g., SAS, SPSS, MS SQL, or R) to write programs for data processing and statistical analyses; (4) programming querying languages; (5) enterprise reporting tools for development of reports; and (6) creating dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. PBI, Tableau, Qlik, or data warehousing applications).
