SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER-IT
Memphis, TNKey Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end project management for all technology aspects of construction projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, statuses, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and institutional subject matter experts to ensure proper integration of technology, information security, low voltage, and clinical systems requirements into construction documents and related implementation planning documents.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from small renovations to large-scale new construction.
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee other project managers responsible for specific project details that are related to the overarching program.
Technical Leadership:
- Review and gain approval of technical and information security specifications for low voltage systems, IT infrastructure, clinical device, and research instrument installations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare technology standards, building codes, regulatory requirements, and institutional standards.
- Coordinate system migrations and technology cutover plans to minimize impact on clinical operations and research activities.
- Oversee commissioning and validation of installed systems.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with leadership to align project objectives with organizational strategy.
- Partner with Facilities, Design and Construction, Biomedical engineering, IT, Clinical Operations, and Research to gather requirements and ensure user needs are met.
- Manage relationships with leadership, staff, contractors, and suppliers.
- Facilitate project steering committee meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, business or related field of study.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in a business-facing IT Program/Project Management role, with substantial consulting leadership experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in healthcare facilities; strong construction project management desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale healthcare technology implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare building codes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or Healthcare Construction (CHC).
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction management best practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of medical equipment planning and clinical workflows.
- Experience with change management in healthcare environments.
- Ability to access construction sites and traverse various building areas.
- Ability to attend on-site construction meetings and inspections.
- Primary office environment with frequent visits to construction sites.
- Regular exposure to active construction areas.
- May require evening or weekend work during critical system installations.
- Must be able to respond to urgent project needs outside normal business hours.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
- Certification required (at least one of the following): Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification issued by Project Management Institute.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional project management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups in a complex academic research and healthcare environment.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $114,400 - $216,320 per year for the role of Senior Program Manager-IT.Explore our exceptional benefits!
