We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our neuroimaging laboratory, which specializes in multimodal image fusion, multiparametric modeling, and machine learning techniques to advance the diagnosis and management of central nervous system (CNS) diseases. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at integrating diverse imaging modalities and computational approaches to uncover novel biomarkers and therapeutic strategies for CNS disorders.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow– Neuroimaging and Computational Modeling in the laboratory of Asim Bag, MD


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our neuroimaging laboratory, which specializes in multimodal image fusion, multiparametric modeling, and machine learning techniques to advance the diagnosis and management of central nervous system (CNS) diseases. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at integrating diverse imaging modalities and computational approaches to uncover novel biomarkers and therapeutic strategies for CNS disorders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement algorithms for multimodal image fusion, combining data from MRI, PET, CT, and other imaging techniques.

  • Design and optimize multiparametric models to analyze complex imaging datasets and extract clinically relevant features.

  • Develop and optimize newer clinically relevant MRI sequence. 

  • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to translate computational findings into actionable insights for patient care.

  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at scientific conferences.

  • Mentor graduate students and contribute to the overall growth of the laboratory.


Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, or a related field.

  • Strong background in neuroimaging techniques (e.g., MRI, PET) and computational modeling.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R.

  • Experience with image processing tools and software (e.g., FSL, SPM, ANTs).

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong publication record in relevant fields.
