The Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital invites applications for open rank positions within the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the areas of:
• Clinical pharmacokinetics of cancer therapeutics
• Pharmacogenomics of drug toxicity
• Anti-infective therapeutics and resistance
The mission of the department is to generate new knowledge to advance pharmacotherapy and provide the best patient care for children with catastrophic diseases. We are particularly interested in translational scientists with the aspiration to develop and engage in innovative collaborative and independent research programs in these areas. Investigators in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences collectively attract over $6M in NIH funding and produce over 80 publications annually. The division also houses the Center for Translational Pharmacology and the Pharmacotyping Resource.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude offers outstanding opportunities and support to collaborative research programs in pharmacogenomics, developmental therapeutics, cancer genomics, solid malignancies, hematological malignancies, brain tumor, infectious diseases, neurobiology, non-malignant hematology, bone marrow transplantation & immunology, late effects of cancer therapy, preclinical genetic models of pediatric disease and computational biology. Interdisciplinary research programs, along with outstanding shared resources, facilitate collaborations among a highly collegial group of scientists across the institution.
Faculty positions include full salary support, a generous start-up package and an ongoing commitment of research support and space, laboratory resources and support positions. The successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain vigorous, extramurally-funded, independent research programs.
St. Jude provides outstanding core laboratory support and an unparalleled environment for collaborations among basic, translational, and clinical scientists and for the translation of discoveries from the lab into the clinic.

Successful candidates should have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or a related discipline or clinical doctorate (PharmD, MD) and appropriate post-doctoral training.
