Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluates Programs’ space needs and oversees clinician schedule(s) to ensure appropriate room utilization and resource allocation. Manages daily activity in assigned clinic/hospital areas. Ensures facility and equipment maintenance is coordinated appropriately Ensures contractual arrangements are met with outside consultants regarding clinic schedules. Analyzes, recommends and implements efficiency improvements aligned with the hospital’s Strategic Plan
- Supervises administrative support and staff. Works with clinical leadership to identify staffing needs. Interviews and selects administrative personnel in collaboration with other hospital managers/department leaders. Responsible for supervising work assignments of administrative personnel Evaluates, counsels, and disciplines direct reports. Handles advanced discipline problems and mediates disputes among subordinates. Completes performance appraisals for direct reports; signs off/provides input on other subordinates. Coordinates and oversees workflow of direct reports and their subordinates, ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate results. Prepares, verifies and monitors payroll and maintains related records Monitors certification records and schedules training for all clinical personnel in assigned department.
- Ensures patient satisfaction by providing positive and effective customer service. Monitors and assesses management and operations for patient satisfaction Recommends and implements improvements to service.
- Collaborates with nursing leadership to manage the day-to-day financial and budgetary processes for assigned departments and programs. Monitors revenues/expenses through established mechanisms and contributes data and analysis to financial summaries of the departments. Monitors project budgets, ensuring that all financial obligations and expenditures are in accordance with guidelines and regulations. Identifies budget variances to be reconciled to ensure efficient utilization of operations. Reviews and approves requisitions for purchases and services within established limits according to institutional policies. Monitors and records charges for departmental services and charge adjustments as appropriate. Participates in the annual budget planning and preparation for the department; prepares financial records Ensures records are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
- In collaboration with physician and nurse leaders, is accountable for full program compliance with government regulations. Organizes ongoing educational programs for clinical and administrative staff related to billing and compliance regulations.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals of the department and institution.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s in Business Administrator or related field preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years related work experience in a clinical setting
- One (1) year of supervisory/managerial experience required
- Preferred experience with healthcare systems, like Epic or similar.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $114,400 - $216,320 per year for the role of Director, Clinical Operations, Cell Therapy Service Line.Explore our exceptional benefits!
