Nucleo-Protein Biochemistry Scientist - Kellogg Lab

Dr. Kellogg’s lab in the Department of Structural Biology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital seeks a Scientist to lead biochemical efforts related to the characterization and purification of novel nucleo-protein assemblies involved in genome integrity and organization. The scientist will work in collaboration with the cryo-EM center as well as closely with Kellogg lab members to pioneer new research directions. This scientist will be given opportunities to travel in order to meet with collaborators and present at conferences. In addition, scientists will be given exploratory projects to establish new research directions in the areas of genome maintenance, DNA recombination, and DNA repair. The Kellogg lab uses cutting edge Cryo-EM to investigate the molecular basis of genome modification and higher order genome structure. The Kellogg lab maintains a portfolio of ambitious projects (Science, 2023, Molecular Cell, 2023, Science, 2023, Nature, 2023, PNAS, 2022, Science, 2021, and more) which are supported by a generously funded and well-staffed research environment.
