Job Overview
Sickle Cell Disease - Global Hematology Clinical MD FellowJob Description
This one-year program trains innovative leaders in treating and managing pediatric catastrophic blood disorders (sickle cell disease, hemophilia, thalassemia and bone marrow failure syndromes). Supported by an outstanding multidisciplinary team and global health leaders, the program focuses on providing patient-centered/family-focused care to patients. The clinical training is complemented by opportunities to conduct research projects in low and middle-income settings.
Eligibility Requirements:
Eligible applicants who have completed training at ACGME accredited residency or fellowship program in pediatric hematology/oncology, pediatrics, or medicine/pediatrics are welcome to apply.
International applicants must be ECFMG certified and H1B eligible.
As a fellow, you will:
- Develop expertise in the clinical, biological and therapeutic aspects of catastrophic blood disorders in pediatric patients
- Be monitored by nationally recognized leaders in the field
- Participate in clinical research projects and present your work at local and national meetings
