Overview:
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for dynamic professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
GPM is seeking a dedicated Program Specialist to support the coordination and implementation of GPM projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. This role will involve working closely with the Regional Program Manager, regional collaborators, and St. Jude Global sites to advance GPM's mission.
The Program Specialist will:
Administer a program or project.
Develop and disseminate effective communication materials to stakeholders.
Address program-related and/or project-related challenges and concerns.
Track program progress, adoption, or performance and provide ongoing reports to leadership/program sponsors.
Track and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations.
Support the program by identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Special Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Shows a general understanding of the customer needs and program objectives.
Exhibits a basic grasp of project management processes like scoping, scheduling, milestones, reporting, tools (MS project, etc.), and templates to support program planning and coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Ability to carry out broad assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential and professional manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite
Cultural sensitivity is essential

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience in program coordination.
Experience working with international stakeholders is preferred
Fluency in French is a plus
Public health experience is a plus
Experience working with multiple collaborators is a plus
Some experience/knowledge in working with project planning tools like MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office is a plus.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Program Specialist, Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Program.Explore our exceptional benefits!
