The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating projects and deadlines, engaging in communications and detailed tasks, and providing oversight of projects, budgets, processes, and the policies and procedures essential to the success of global and departmental programs.
This position requires a bachelor degree (bachelor's degree in public health, administration, or related field preferred) and at least one year of experience in program coordination.
Global exposure and sensitivity is a huge plus.
We'd like candidates with some experience/knowledge in working with project planning tools like MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office. Experience using technology is preferred, especially with Zoom, Teams, audio/visual.

Overview:
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for dynamic professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
The Program Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Global Neuro-Oncology team in the coordination and execution of program initiatives. This role will support day-to-day program operations, including logistical and administrative support. The Program Specialist will contribute to the planning and delivery of education, capacity building, and research initiatives, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with international collaborators. Experience in global health and in supporting multi-partner, cross-cultural programs is strongly preferred.
The Program Specialist is responsible for:
Administering a program or project.
Developing and disseminating communications regarding the program or project.
Resolving program-related and/or project related issues.
Maintaining and tracking project timelines and deliverables, including updating relevant data and project records.
Tracking and analyzing data to identify trends and make recommendations.
Supporting program by identifying process improvement opportunities; Executing program initiatives.
Coordinate travel planning and related logistics ensuring timely arrangements for flights, accommodations, and related needs.
Collaborating with transversal and regional GPM units to coordinate engagement with partners.
Developing strong working relationships with partners both at St. Jude and global collaborator sites across the world.
Facilitating written and spoken discussions in live meetings, presentations, and email/written communications.
Performing other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Special Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Shows a general understanding of program needs and objectives.
Exhibits basic grasp of project management process like scoping, scheduling, milestones, reporting, tools (Smartsheet, etc.), and templates to support program planning and coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Consistent attention to detail.
Ability to carry out broad assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential and professional manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite.
Cultural sensitivity is a must.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required (Bachelor's degree in public health, administration, or related field preferred)
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience in program coordination.

Proficient in virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Program Specialist, Global Neuro-Oncology Program.Explore our exceptional benefits!
