Scientist Neural Progenitor Cells

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist, who has a strong background and interest in mechanisms of brain development, neurodevelopmental disorders, or brain tumors to join the lab of Dr.Young-Goo Han. Recently, we revealed a key pathway that expands neural stem/progenitor cells and promotes the expansion and folding of the neocortex, the center for superior human cognitive abilities. Currently, we are studying underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms and how alterations in such mechanisms lead to neurodevelopmental disorders and brain tumors.

Our lab is highly collaborative and uses diverse complementary approaches including genetically modified animals, pluripotent stem cell culture, brain organoids, genome editing, high resolution imaging, single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and in utero surgeries. The successful candidates will have strong experience in molecular, biochemical, cellular, and histological analyses of cell culture and animal models.
