Researcher in Cell and Molecular Biology
A Researcher position is currently available in the J. Paul Taylor Lab, located within the Cell and Molecular Biology Department, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN. The mission of the Lab is exploring the assembly and function of biomolecular condensates and how disturbance of condensates contributes to disease, specifically amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s disease. We seek an accomplished, self-motivated, meticulously organized researcher with a strong background in molecular biology and biochemical techniques.
Preferred Skills: Experience working in a molecular biology laboratory, familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques, cell culture, florescent microscopy, and a willingness to learn basic skills required to maintain Drosophila stocks. Candidates with excellent communication and organizational skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates with protein purification experience are encouraged to apply.
