The Medical Imaging Scientist leads the development and implementation of diffusion weighted MR imaging based structural connectome assessments in children treated for cancer.  Focuses on identification, visualization, and analysis of brain networks impacted by disease and therapy.  Applies machine learning approaches to structural connectomes for group analyses and pattern recognition.  Collaborates with staff and faculty members within and outside the Structural Connectome Imaging Research (SCIR) Hub on research projects and grant applications.  Collects, documents, organizes, and maintains data obtained from medical imaging studies.  Provides oversight for postdoctoral fellows, research assistants and students in the research laboratory.  Actively participates in scientific journal publications and professional conference presentations.
 
  • Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, medical physics, computer sciences, electrical engineering, or related scientific field required.
  • Two (2) year's research experience in medical image analysis and processing after obtaining the PhD is required.
