Manager Grants & Research Administration - Developmental Neurobiology

Under the general direction of the Director of Administration, this position is responsible for managing all grant operations for the Department of Developmental Neurobiology. Establishes and manages all departmental grants pre-award submission processes and post-award grants accounting activities. Develops and maintains SOPs documenting routine grant operations within the department. Provides grant training to PIs and administrative staff as needed. All major components of this position require interaction with personnel at all levels of the department including department chair, division directors, faculty, administrative staff, and personnel from Grants Accounting, Grants & Sponsored Programs, etc. Perform special projects as required or directed to meet the goals and objectives as they related to the department and institution. Additional duties may be added as this position develops
  • Master's degree in an appropriate field (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPA, MPH) is required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in financial management, budgeting or accounting in a healthcare, academic or related environment is required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in sponsored research administration (pre-award grants submission and/or post-award grants accounting) is required.
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience preferably in healthcare, academic or related environment is required.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and experience is preferred.
