St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN seeks a Network Engineer II.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership support for the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the enterprise local area network (LAN). Responsible for technical architecture and recommendations related to LAN. Maintain technical currency and study vendor products to determine those which best meet hospital needs. Present information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment. Utilize network management tools to provide network reporting and data trends analysis to ensure proactive design and administration that meet the hospital’s bandwidth needs.


Work location: Memphis, TN. Telecommuting may be allowed from the Memphis, TN area only.


Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.


Minimum Experience:

2 years of IT experience in infrastructure operations and engineering environments in the healthcare industry. Experience must include:

  • Leading projects applying firmware upgrades to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure standardization of hardware/software across the enterprise network .

  • Working with business stakeholders to identify and document data connectivity and network throughput requirements in support of strategic goals.

  • Installing, configuring, testing, and deploying network assets based on understanding of function of hardware and technologies within own domains.

  • Supporting performance optimization and system tuning using network performance tools.

  • Experience using Cisco network and telephony platforms (including CISCO Identity Services Engine (ISE) & CISCO Application Centric Infrastructure), Load Balancers platforms (including F5 Load Balancing), DNS platforms, and network monitoring platforms.

  • Experience in network design and implementation for campus LAN, WAN integration, IP based solutions.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86,320 - $154,960 per year for the role of Network Engineer II.
